FAQs

FAQs

There are two primary ways to invest in the DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund. The first is to invest through the DSP Mutual Fund's website. The second is to invest through a SEBI registered market intermediary. It is important to understand that mutual fund schemes including DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund have two Plans, direct and regular. The main difference between the direct and regular Plan is the expense ratio associated with the two Plans. Expense ratio is the fee charged by the mutual fund house for managing your investment it is charged on percentage basis annually (Expense ratio is subject to change in future depending on various factors). In case of the regular Plan of a mutual fund scheme the expense ratio is higher than the expense ratio charged in case of the direct Plan. The reason for this is that the regular Plan of a mutual fund scheme is typically distributed /sold through a SEBI registered intermediary such as mutual fund distributor (which can be an individual or a bank or even online platform) and a part of the expense ratio is used for compensating the intermediary for his/her efforts in selling the mutual fund scheme. DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund also has two plans of the mutual fund scheme, which are (a) the direct plan and (b) the regular plan. You can invest in the direct plan of the mutual fund scheme through zero brokerage platforms or through the website of the DSP Mutual Fund. You can invest in the regular plan through a mutual fund distributor.

Any investor can redeem his/her mutual funds units of DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund by following the below-mentioned steps: (i) login into your investment platform: Login into your investment account with your investment app/website using your login credentials. Investment app/website will be the platform through which you made the investment in DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund initially, it may be DSP Mutual Fund's website or a mobile app or a brokerage firm's website; (ii) find your mutual fund units: ideally, your investment platform will enumerate all the mutual fund investments you have made through that particular platform, locate the DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund in your portfolio; (iii) initiate redemption: Select the "Redeem" or "Sell" option for your DSP Dynamic Asset Allocation Fund units; (iv) enter redemption details: enter the number of mutual fund units you wish to redeem or alternatively the amount you intend to withdraw; (iv) confirm redemption: review the redemption details and confirm your redemption request; (v) await confirmation: ideally investor's redemption request will be immediately registered within the system and a confirmation message will appear. The processing time for transfer of funds may vary depending on the investment platform and the time of the day the redemption request is submitted; (g) receipt of funds: once the redemption request is processed, the funds will be credited to the bank account linked to your investment platform within a TAT (turn-around-time) of 2 or 3 days.

The expense ratio is an annual expense charged to the mutual fund investors investing in any mutual fund by the mutual fund house (expense ratio is subject to change in future depending on various factors). Essentially it is a fee charged in exchange of for providing the investment service by the mutual fund house. It covers operational as well as management expenses of the mutual fund house. Mutual fund schemes have two plans: regular and direct. The direct plan of a particular mutual fund scheme has a lower expense ratio when compared with the regular plan of the mutual fund scheme. Typically, regular plan have a higher expense ratio than the direct plan because typically they are sold through a SEBI registered intermediary, i.e., a mutual fund distributor. A higher expense ratio for regular plan is needed in order to ensure that the mutual fund distributor is also compensated for distributing/selling the mutual fund scheme.
